Michael Jackson's Doctor Reportedly Administered Killer Drug
Shortly after Michael Jackson's death, Joe Jackson started crying foul about "foul play." Now it seems like he might have been on to something. It's being reported that the night before his death, Jackson's doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, gave the singer the anesthetic Propofol, the drug which authorities believe killed him. If it's not foul-play, it's undoubtedly some seriously neglectful-play.
Propofol is extremely powerful and usually only used for anesthetic purposes in a surgical context. Jackson was reportedly being given the drug in order to help him sleep. It is almost never used outside of medical locations, and although it has been approved for use in all 50 states, it is considered incredibly dangerous if not used correctly. It is believed that Murray may have given him a lethal dose of the sedative.
Murray was with Jackson when the singer died on June 25th, and since then he has become the subject of a manslaughter investigation. Murray's lawyer has insisted that Murray never prescribed or administered anything that killed the pop legend.
Murray's rep has refused to comment on whether or not the doctor administered Propofol to Jackson. However, Murray has denied prescribing the singer with Demerol and OxyContin. Doesn't look good for Murray that he's denying giving out some prescriptions, but not the one that ended up killing Jackson...
Murray's Houston clinic was raided on July 22nd, and a raid of the doctor's offices in Las Vegas might soon follow. Murray's rep said, "Obviously investigators are not sharing details with us about their plans, as evidenced by what happened last week. Like everyone else, we're awaiting the results of the toxicology tests, and at that point, we'll assess what we need to do."
So it seems that Murray is still unsure whether or not he's on the brink of an arrest and being charged with the murder of possibly the greatest entertainer who ever lived.
